T Face barbute helmet

The barbuta helmet was a contemporary of the celata (sallet in Germany). In fact, other than the face opening, the two helmets are practically indistinguishable. Rather than having a wide arched opening like the celata, the barbuta has a T-shaped opening bordered by an applied stop rib. This model is based off of the helmet that adorns the Milanese style "Avant" harness at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow, Scotland. Made from two welded halves of 2mm steel, this helmet features a polished surface, adjustable spider style leather liner riveted to the helmet, and chinstrap fitted with a period buckle.

Pas de traitement anti corrosion du métal.
Il peut être nécessaire de procéder à un polissage avec de la laine d'acier 000 pour éliminer la rouille.
