Infantry officer Consulat-Empire sabre that belonged to capitaine Alfred Moudiou, staff officer of Gal Villemalet.
Typical sabre of consulat period, but used all along empire by infantry officers.
Length 80 cm. No stamp, no inscription.
Bought in the family of capitaine Moudiou a long time ago, then sold to last owner who sold us all his collection.
Anyway, we have no proof of the origine, salers are dead for a long time now.
General Villemalet is registered in book of Georges Six listing all french generals of 1st Empire.
