These were copied in the early 1900s by Charles Brun, one of the foremost uniform artists of the era.
This book reproduces over 130 color plates of the original never before published Dresden Manuscript paintings of Napoleon's Grande Army by Charles Brun and 50 color Freiberg Manuscript paintings detailing the Grand Armee Uniforms.
Superb full-page uniform plates.
Signed by author on bookplate inside front cover.
Size: Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.
Copy number 22/100.
Long dedication addressed to JJ Pattyn (himself a recognized author and unfortunately deceased), and ex libris of him.
