Officer's sword, period piece, bronze hilt, adorned with an eagle resting on two shields, one adorned with the Iron Crown, symbol of the Kingdom of Italy, and the other with the Imperial Crown.
Napoleon was indeed Emperor of the French and King of Italy, but also protector of the Confederation of the Rhine and mediator of the Swiss Confederation... all by the grace of God and the constitutions! After all!
The hilt is made of checkered wood.
The blade is very thin, 12 mm wide at the heel, and is clearly a salvage from a much older sword, a real needle.
The penultimate owner of this sword wanted to cut the blade to make a screwdriver... It was narrowly saved.
The scabbard is new, so this sword can be used for reenactment. The fittings are not exactly true to size, nor are the leather stitching. The price is commensurate with this defect, for this rare and sought-after sword model.
Total length: 91 cm, including a 77 cm blade.
