We have recovered a copy for enthusiasts of this model, which is not our priority to reproduce according to our quality standards.
After the abolition of military decorations during the Revolution, decided in the interest of equality, those who performed outstanding actions were first rewarded with Sabers of Honor, Axes of Honor, and Baguettes of Honor. Then Bonaparte created the Legion of Honor, and all these distinctions disappeared, their holders automatically receiving the Legion of Honor.
These weapons were not usually worn; they were kept as a mark of prestige.
