Engineering set: gorget and belt plate front. Second Empire/3rd Republic
Price:
€110.00
Tax included
The insignia of the engineers were not accompanied by the eagle under the Second Empire, which meant that the brasswork was not immediately replaced after the fall of the Empire.
This brasswork was therefore usable at the beginning of the Third Republic, after which the gorgets disappeared permanently...
The belt plate is without its hanging system on the back.
It looks great in a display case as a decoration, but it is possible to re-attach a hanging system if you want to use it for reenactment.
The gorget has been cleaned and reupholstered with white leather on the back; it is immediately usable for reenactment.
