The creator of this object indulged themselves, but it's unlikely that such an object existed in this form during the "Grand Siècle" (the 17th century). The pommel depicts three musketeers. Three more musketeers adorn the quillons and the guard branch. Fleur-de-lis decorate the rocket. Experience the imagery of Alexandre Dumas as if you were there!
