Imperial staff officer's sword. Scabbard remade (?)similar to the original model
A typical staff sword, distinguished by the symbols on the hilt, used during the Empire and up to the Restoration.
Also note the central motif on the guard, an eagle, which allows us to attribute this sword to the Empire period. There is a small crack in the grip, but it is not significant. The blade is old, but unmarked, and its Empire period cannot be guaranteed. The scabbard matches the pattern and is in very (too) good condition, suggesting a restoration, but a high-quality one. Overall, it is very pleasing to the eye, with its beautifully chiseled helmet-shaped pommel.
Total length 96 cm.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
1) When removing a sword from an antique leather and brass scabbard, pull out the blade by holding the sword vertically, or place the sword and scabbard on a flat surface and remove the blade while keeping the scabbard flat. The weight of the chape can be enough to break an old, and therefore fragile, leather scabbard... This would be a shame, and restoring such scabbards is complicated.
2) VERIFY THAT IMPORTING THIS WEAPON IS LEGAL IN YOUR COUNTRY.
Some countries have recently tightened their regulations, and we also encounter carriers who refuse to transport certain weapon models for various reasons.
We cannot know the laws of every country in the world. If your sword is detained by customs or sent for destruction, we will not issue a refund.
3) THE FLAT-RATE SHIPPING COSTS added to your order are INSUFFICIENT to cover the ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING SWORDS AND SABERS OUTSIDE OF EUROPE. Shipping costs are calculated based on the volume of the packages containing these items!
Therefore, you must contact us to find out the actual shipping cost for your order and any additional charges.
Your order cannot be processed if you do not pay the shipping costs charged to us.
