The Restoration-era naval officer's sword has a pommel engraved with a fleur-de-lis, a feature reserved for high-ranking officers' swords. The mother-of-pearl inlays are missing, and the sword primarily needs a thorough cleaning. The blade is covered with a layer of rust, which is not too difficult to remove. It is engraved with the inscription "Manufacture Royale de Klingenthal" accompanied by attractive engravings. The Second Empire junior officer's sword has a beautiful acid-etched blade, more typical of a Second Empire or early Third Republic civil servant's sword. The push button that allows the guard to be flipped up is present and functional; otherwise, it is in good condition. No scabbard; price reflects this.
