Uniform for prefet

This uniform have to be completed by a new waistcoat with embroidered buttons.
Big embroidered buttons will also be added on jacket.
Prefets and ministers had about the same jackets.

We were greatly helped in our work by the discovery of a ancient notebook from the house Picault, illustrated with numerous embroideries made by this same house under the Empire.... we just had to copy them.
This caracter was a prefet under the Empire then under the Restauration. We recreated his outfit and its accessories from a painting preserved by an old nobel french family.

The man featured on the paintings that we reproduced was prefet during first Empire and also during "restoration", he received Légion d'Honneur during Empire and kept it later, but received also "fidélité de Gand" and "Saint Michel" medals.

We found all original decorations for our customer, and also a nice sword with a mother of pearl handle and a blue and gold blade.
We can easily use this uniform for Empire period, we just have to replace white cockade by a blue, red and silver one and to take off medals from Royalty period.
