Created on 22th june 1792 by king Stanislas Auguste Poniatowski of poland, after victory of Zieleńce, order was suppressed soon after a defeat and reintroduced from1807 to 1815 as Military order of of Dukedom of Varsovie, then from 1815 to 1831 as Military order of Poland, then suppressed many times.
