English cavalry sabre, WW1, 1908 type, so called "Patton".
Price:

After the Mle 1899 saber, too large and heavy for the cavalry, came the Model 1908, first developed for the American cavalry by a certain Patton, who would have an extraordinary destiny, including a major role in the evolution of the Second World War.
With a very futuristic appearance for the time, it was almost never used; loading machine guns from horseback did not produce very satisfactory results.
The scabbard is heavily oxidized, with a visible hole and missing splints, but the markings are clearly visible on the heel.
The hilt is in good condition with its original green paint.
Emblematic of the innovative weapons of the "Great War" in their design.
Total length: 110 cm
