Marins de la garde fought more on earth than on the sea because of Trafalgar.
This sabre is very special, because it looks like a mamelouk sabre so like a light cavalry sabre and these soldiers were sailors, dressed as hussars.

Total length 90 cm, blade 72 cm. Weight 1,3 kg with scabbard, 940 gr without. Blade width 35 to 40 mm.
